MICRONUTRIENT TESTING
Micronutrients, as opposed to macronutrients (protein, carbohydrates and fat), are comprised of vitamins and minerals which are required in small quantities to ensure normal metabolism, growth and physical well‐being. Your genetics, aging, lifestyle, chronic illness, and medications all affect your cellular nutrient absorption. The only test that provides a comprehensive extracellular and intracellular assessment of the levels of the most important vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, fatty acids and amino acids.
EXTRACELLULAR MICRONUTRIENTS
Micronutrients that are free floating in your blood and exist outside the cells, determined in serum are called extracellular micronutrients.
These extracellular micronutrients are a static measure of what is in your blood at any given time. These are dependent on your short-term intake of supplements or diet and give a direct assessment of your baseline micronutrient levels.
Extracellular nutrient tests reflect a person’s diet over a relatively narrow time frame.
INTRACELLULAR MICRONUTRIENTS
Intracellular micronutrients are the micronutrients absorbed by your circulating white blood cells and red blood cells.
Cellular micronutrient absorption is an important step in maintaining and promoting optimal functioning of all our cells.
It is important to understand that, even though you may be consuming an adequate or healthy diet or supplements, your cellular intake levels of those nutrients may not be sufficient and may still provide risks for deficiencies and the disorders associated with them.

ADRENAL TESTING
Saliva testing is an easy and noninvasive way of assessing hormone balancing needs. Unlike serum tests, saliva testing represents only hormones actively delivered to receptors in the body.
This test provides a comprehensive view of adrenal function and includes 4 cortisol levels timed throughout the day as well as DHEA.
Symptoms that would advocate this test include the following:l
- Fatigue
- Nervousness
- Insomnia
- Sugar Cravings
- Decreased Stamina
- Dizzy Spells
- Headaches
- Weakness
FOOD SENSITIVITY TESTING
There is a very high chance that something you are eating everyday is actually toxic to your system! The way we measure how your body reacts to the foods you eat is through the Bloodprint test, which pinpoints the foods that support healthy body chemistry and those that are toxic to you.
There are 3 categories of diet-induced inflammatory reactions: Food Allergy, Food-Induced Autoimmune Disease, and Food Sensitivities. Of the 3, food sensitivities are the most prevalent.
Food and food-chemical sensitivities have clinical characteristics that make it very challenging to identify trigger foods. For example, symptom manifestation may be delayed by many hours after ingestion; reactions may be dose dependent; because of a breakdown of oral tolerance mechanisms, there are often many reactive foods and food-chemicals; even so-called anti-inflammatory foods, such as salmon, parsley, turmeric, ginger, blueberry, and any “healthy” food can be reactive.
We offer the LEAP Mediator Release Test (MRT). MRTIII® provides unmatched reliability and precision because it is the only instrument in the industry that combines advanced flow cytometry technology with the patented impedance-based “Ribbon Method.” MRTIII®, along with Oxford’s patented “Ribbon” method, is the only instrument capable of measuring the subtle volumetric effects of antigen challenge on individual white cell populations simultaneously (lymphocytes, eosinophils, monocytes, neutrophils). And because MRTIII® is able to identify more relevant inflammatory reactions than any other test or method, therapeutic outcomes are maximized with its use.
Food sensitivities can take hours to days to elicit a reaction and are often less severe than food allergies. Common symptoms of food sensitivities include:
- migraine headaches
- digestive disorders
- moodiness and fatigue
- attention issues
- weight gain
- depression
- GERD
- PCOS
- Insomnia
- many others…
HEAVY METALS TESTING
Quicksilver Scientific®’s CLIA-certified laboratory specializes in advanced mercury speciation testing, using the patented Mercury Tri-Test. This test utilizes samples of hair, blood, and urine to assess for the body’s mercury burden and its ability to eliminate it. The Quicksilver Mercury Tri-Test is the only clinical test that utilizes mercury speciation analysis, a patented advanced technology that separates methyl mercury (MeHg) from inorganic mercury (HgII) and measures each directly. Quicksilver Scientific®’s instruments are sensitive enough to measure ambient mercury levels in the body WITHOUT THE NEED FOR CHALLENGE TESTING. This laboratory test provides unprecedented information for healthcare practitioners, allowing them to assess the patient’s exposure sources, body burden and ability to excrete each form of mercury. This detailed information helps build an informed picture and allows the clinician to plan a rational approach to a successful detoxification strategy for the patient. Blood Metals Panel (Heading) Quicksilver Scientific®’s Blood Metals Panel screens for a broad range of potentially toxic and nutrient metals to show elevated exposure to toxic metals or imbalances of nutrient metals in whole blood. Results from this test can be used as a standalone screening, or to enhance information obtained from the Mercury Tri-Test. Because different protocols or support may be indicated to balance the other potentially toxic and nutrient elements in the blood, the most effective detoxification protocol can then be selected.
This whole blood elemental metals analysis uses state-of-the-art inductively coupled plasma/mass spectroscopy. The test measures levels for 16 metals, including beneficial nutrient metals and potentially toxic metals. Imbalanced mineral pairs, especially copper-to-zinc ratios or calcium-to-magnesium ratios, can often present clinically as heavy metal toxicity. Excess copper is also synergistically toxic with heavy metals, such as mercury, cadmium, arsenic and lead.
DUTCH Dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones
Rather than carry a jug for a 24hr urine collection, this convenient test requires just four or
five dried urine samples over a 24-hour period. Dried samples are stable for several weeks making them convenient to ship worldwide.
In addition to sex hormones, this test also evaluates adrenal hormones and a select few organic acids.
The DUTCH test is our preferred testing method for female hormone patients
Cardiovascular Testing Miami
Heart disease refers to a variety of conditions that affect the heart—from infections to genetic defects and blood vessel diseases. Most heart disease can be prevented with a healthy lifestyle, yet it’s the number-one health threat in the world, so it’s important that your know your cardiovascular numbers.
This Cardiovascular test goes beyond the basic cholesterol markers for a complete blood analysis of heart and vessel status
