FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We create programs that fit every need, here are some examples:
HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TREATMENT?
Like all medications, the duration of the effects depends on the dosage, the area of face injected, and each individual’s metabolism. With proper dosage and injection technique, the cosmetic results should last 3 to 6 months.
WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?
Botulinum toxin can take anywhere from 3-10 days to see your final results. For fillers like Juvederm, Restylane and Radiesse, most swelling resolves in about 3-5 days, but it can last up to two weeks. Bruising will also go away in this time.
IS IT SAFE?
Botulinum toxin is safe with very few reported side effects. Some reported side effects include swelling, redness, tenderness, bruising, inflammation, pain, and infection at the site of injection. In our practice, we see about a 1-2% rate for minor small bruising at the injection site on the face, and a less than 1% rate of very minor and temporary eyelid heaviness or drooping. In rare cases, some experience mild and temporary headache or flu-like symptoms, which resolve by themselves in a day or two.
